Project Falcon (Sage HQ)
We worked for a long period of time with Sage to develop a strategy to relocate them from their Newcastle HQ to a new home at Cobalt Business Park in North Tyneside. The £17M relocation and refurbishment project was fully designed by kyoob from our North Tyneside base. The project consisted of a rationalisation of the existing VRF systems together with the provision of new systems including VRF, ventilation, lighting, power, data and fire. We worked closely with entire team from concept to handover and site vists were very easy to arrange as the project was literally on our doorstep!
Greggs HQ
We undertook the design for the fit out of Q9 at Quorum Business Park for Gregg’s new headquarters building. The project involved the installation of significant new items of plant to meet the needs of the client. This included new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) heating/cooling systems, heat recovery ventilation systems, IT server cooling system and server room fire suppression systems.
Lifton House, Jesmond
The 19th century house was converted into office space in the 1970’s and has now being updated once more. The facility incorporates fully comfort cooled, mechanically ventilated high specification offices and conference facilities. All building services systems are exposed and integrated with floating ceiling rafts. We worked closely with the architect and the construction team to ensure the installation ran smoothly.
Titan House, Hartlepool
We worked closely with Thirteen’s in house architectural and project management team to deliver this local office in Hartlepool. The project involved the conversion of numerous former retail units into a single high specification office for the housing group. An exposed services solution was preferred and we worked closely with the project architect to ensure all services were coordinated at design stage to deliver the required aesthetic of the facility. As I’m sure you’ll agree, the results are brilliant!
Citygate House, Newcastle
Another listed building refurbishment in the heart of Newcastle (in the shadows of St James’ Park!). What made this particular refurbishment interesting was that our client and project developer was actually going to occupy the building when complete! The finished article if fantastic and is a credit to the close working relationship we had with the architect, Ryder, on this one. Even the reported sightings of ghosts didn’t deter the contractor during the fit out!
